You definitly do not go by what it says on the side of the tire as the max psi. Your going to wear the center of the tire and not the outer edges. Your tires would last 5000 miles that way. That is just telling you what the highest pressure you can stick in the tire. You fill your tires up based on the sticker in the door jam. Ford recommends 32 in the front and rear. I've noticed that in the front the center of the tire was wearing quicker than the rest so I droped it to 30 psi.

Also remember that tire size has nothing to do with pressure. The amount of pressure is based on weight.

I run 30 PSI in my 225/55/16's, 2 pounds below of what the sticker says, I think.

yea like zach said size means nothing, the tire can be 4 times the size, but 30psi is 30psi.
