Well that depends on your budget and what you are planning for the engine/car. Are you planning on putting nitrous or any other kind of power adder on it?

Forged aluminum on any rebuild I do, reguardless of intended purpose.

Just IMHO though.

Another thought...... be VERY wary of anyone who tells you they can get you a good deal on steel pistons!!

a forged aluminum piston is just that, hot forged from a chunk of aluminum.
They ARE NOT made from powered metal. That is sort of an interesting idea. As I understand it lots of new rods are being made from powdered metal by GM.
I'll also bet they are not rebuildable at all.

holy ****, i think somone should tell someone sorry. that was wrong big time, before you go telling someone to not post here about something, you may want to read about it first, fyi forged pistons are aluminum, and hypo pistons are just cast.
