I've got a 1990 5L and I want to replace the crank case vent filter but I can't seem to find it... I don't know why. I was looking in the Haynes and the picture of the PCV valve sucks or is just for the wrong year.

Anyways any direction would be awesome... if you want to send a picture that would also be great!

its under the pcv valve

why do you want to replace it, it you dont know if its clogged. If so then change your pcv valve too. Its behind your intake, its kind of a bit** to get to.

I recently bought the car and have been checking and replacing a bunch of stuff because the car has fairly high miles. It was one of the things on my list. I know it's under the pcv valve, I couldn't find that either. So it's behind the intake near the firewall? I did look there but there is a mess of crap there.... I will have to move some stuff I guess to get at it.
