About the running bad, you said the motor was out then it ran bad? Have you gone though and made sure all you plugs are pluged in? And about the other noise, I would suggest multiple opinons from other mechanics if your not sure what the problems are. I haven't ever really heard or rockers going bad, maybe a broke spring or bad lifter something. Get other profesional opinions

I think your mechanic is seeing dollar $$$ signs with you, you might want to take it to a more reputiable shop or like most of the guys in here say if your handy with tools and ha ve some knowledge you can handle this problem yourself. Anyway good luck.
