i had just changed the oil on the stang and was taken my friend who i havent seen for a while for a ride. hes talkin about his new ride (civic.. blah) anyway hes like what can this thing do and were just rollin at like 25-30, i drop it in 1st were both pinned to the seat i throw it in 2nd and floor it. i got the AOD to shift into 3rd at 5k and by then we were doin close to a 100mph so i let off.

i had NEVER gotten 2nd gear to pull up to 5k it always shifted at 4k or EVEN 3.5k with me flooring it.

wish i was at the track or something man, that would have been a GREAT run []

you can hit 6250 rpm in any gear if it is adjusted correctly, or you hold it in second

Yeah but it is horrible on the transmission if you do the 1-d-1 shuffle. I would also like to know how you did that.

ya its not good i wouldnt do that too much b/c i bet your tranny will go sooner or later, but if you really want to shift... get a manual

i didnt do the 1-d-1 thing

i had it in 1st gear and floored it put it in D and it held 2nd to 5k

If I had an Auto I would always put it in manual first when launching or down shifting because you have the one way roller and a clutch pack holding first. If you dont put it in manual first there is only a one way roller clutch holding first gear.
