Default swapping to Modular lil help plzz

whats up so iam looking to swap a 4.6 96-2002 or a new 05gt engine and tranny into a fox body. I plan on buying the engine and tranny with all the sensors off ebay. Pretty much a complete pull out or front clip if u want to call it that. Now heres where i need the help, Im hoping this swap wont be a huge pain in the *** if i use a K member and get some custom MM. Do u think the Fox will need any major mods to the front end or will the K member take care of it. This probly is totally wrong but im thinking it wont be that hard due to the fact that ill be using a factory engine, tranny, ecu blah blah so i know this combo allready works. Do u think ill have driveshaft issues?? Thank you for any 411 u drop to help me out. this might be the crazist part of this post but im trying to do this for under 10gs ive allready bought a 88gt for3000 knowing i want a Modular engine in her. oh yea i know i need CC plates to go with the k member to keep the wheels inline. im really tryin to get the new gts engine and tranny for obvious reasons. thanks and see you on the track[>:]

What are the obvious reason ??? The 5.0 is the shat But seriosly though, why dont you do a Cobra motor/trans. If your going to put a 4.6 GT in there for power you mind as well keep your 5.0 and throw up a few hundred for bolt ons.

I agree, either put in a DOHC 4.6 or stick with the 5.0

I know i could bulid up a pushrod 5.0 but then i might have to go to a state ref again if some A hole Cop here in La decides to pop my hood. besides the new gt is what puting out 300hp with 320torq and Its a Legal swap.. Ive read alot of mustang mags and after seeing what hp and streetable Hp in talkin about those 4.6's are making it just feels right. why wouldnt u want a engine and tranny thats technologically superior?

Exactally. I wouldnt want that. I like my old pushrod V8 But its not my car so you have your own opinions so you can do what you want.

Another thing is, 5.0 are WAY cheaper to build and ALOT easier to work on. For the price of what you are going to do you can stroke your 5.0 to a 347 and have money left over.

well, u can build 5.0s to be emissions legal, and the newer cobras were puttin out 320hp and like 320tq after they were fixed... newer doesnt always mean better, i guess it really depends what ur ultimate goal for the car is...

i think its a cool idea, but i would get a motor out of a 03/04 cobra if i was doing the swap. that would be killer. also if you take the time to do the swap a dohc motor is wider than a fe motor so it would be cooler to have a 427 fe motor in a fox, never seen that one.

^^ Thats what I said. If I WERE ever to do it, it would have to be a Cobra motor/trans.

i know you said it, but i had to say it again, but i think a fe 427 and a s/c would kick ***. how tall is a fe motor?

A 427FE motor? I am pretty sure a 351W is one inch taller and one inch wider.
