Default watching my carbs

i've been playing with the idea of going carbed on my 89gt for a while. It looks a lot cleaner and will cut some costs in my buildup. the only thing really holding me back is the fact that i plan on going supercharged next fall and want the adaptability of EFI with a blower. I know a few guys with S/C and turbo carb'd stangs and they have said tuning isn't all that bad but they miss EFI when it comes to adapting to weather and other engine and load conditions.
My question is: how much weight savings is there approximately with a carb setup(al. manifold) over an EFI setup between all the asociated EFI hardware and wiring harness etc... is it significant?

Possibly 25-50 pounds worth of sensors and wire. There's a conversion site that says "You won't believe what all that copper weighs". Im gonna tackle it this weekend, i'll post what happens
