MM187, i got the car pictured to the left with 139k miles for $2000 but it needed a flywheel ($100) and i put the wheels on it ($400 used).

I added the bolt-ons, and changed the exhaust (had 50s flows and H-pipe), but other than that i got my 88 vert for $2500 and EVERYTHING works great. (interior needs some tlc). Been driving it for 2 years, no problems (needs some weatherstripping now though for top).

Basically, Look around!! you'll definately find something better for cheaper price.

I agree. just find a nice one that doesnt need all that work for $3000-$4000 and drive it to his house and show him what you got.

like eveyone else said, too much for an avg 5.0 vert.

rear window problem is commmon, mine dont seal worth a damn either.
plenty of parts available.

50resto.com has it all. I would maybe pay as much as $3000 if the car is in good mechanical shape

You can put a new rag top on for less than $1,000

as far as all the little leaks go, welcome to owning a 15 year old convertible.
it can all be fixed, just takes some time and little money.

replacing all the rubber gaskets would go a long way.

nothing too rare about a 1991 GT, 89-90 were the 25th anv. edition.

I have a 89 25th ann vert to the left. paid 2350 for it but it had blown heater core and 1 rear window needed a motor which was easy to do myself. E verything was basically stock and everything worked except heat and the back window. Top has a couple rough spots but mine doesnt leak water t all, excet for that gap thing you were saying. My back window will have about a 1 in gap if the windows are up with the top down then i put the top up. All i had to do with this is just push on the rear drivers window outwards a lil bit when putting the top up and it lines up just perfect. All in all tho its not worth 6500. I would offer 2k like some others have said maybe go 2500 if you have the money to get a new top as well. Its gonna cost ya 1k just to do the fabric if you need a new frame its gonna be more.
