Anyone with a similar setup?
Since i messed up my 5.0 block i was putting together, i decided itll be best to find myself an explorer engine, use a real cam in it, no factory BS, and do some REAL mods, does anyone have a similar combo to this? If so, how does it run? any track times?
-Explorer 5.0
-GT40P heads
-Typhoon intake manifold (cheap, works well)
-65mm throttle body
-flowtech long tube headers, 1 5/8 primaries
-o/r x-pipe
-2.5" catback, ultraflow mufflers (loud)
-March underdrive pulleys, ill use the crank, water pump, and alt pulleys
-advance the timing to 14* BTDC or so
-Trick Flow valve springs
-Trick Flow #1 cam, or maybe an E cam, something, i dont know yet
-70mm MAF from an MN12
-adjustable fuel pressure regulator
-255lph fuel pump
-EGR, smog, and A/C elimination
As for the rest of the car:
-T5 swap
-3.55 gears
-fresh t-lock
Keep in mind that the car wont be set up for drag racing, ill have some H&R super race springs, which are for road racing, and tokico blue shocks and struts, along with aftermarket control arms, 17" wheels, big brakes, etc
