not sure what the lip is called but its right under the rocker.

my tires are really worn (maybe 20% tread left). i think if anything got stuck in them they would blow.

so again what is the proper jack location just so i dont mess my car up anymore than i have?

check the inner and outer wheel barings. i had them go on my car and it stared making the noise when i turned and i was forced to keep driving on it and pretty soon it was doing it when i was driving in a staright line. it also screwed up my spindel. let me know if i was right or wrong and good luck.
