what ever you want to use, does it matter what it is? personaly i like wd 40. what you should do before you start a project like this, is start spraing the bolts a week before you are going to start. run the car if you want. but spray them 1 or 2 times a day and they will come right out.

Bah WD-40 blows for bolts and so does penetrating oil. What you gotta get is a REAL lubricant, get Nut Buster (by wynns) BY FAR the best stuff I've ever used. Comes out as a foam so it will actually climb the stud, as penetrating oil just goes to the bottom, and man is it good. Spray that stuff on, 30 seconds later it'll come off like nothin. It's also breaks down rust and absorbs it, it doesn't just lubricate.

damn straite you will, all our shop carries now, we used to have it all, WD, Penetrating oil blah blah blah, then we got this stuff, and it save so much time and money on broken bolts and stripped thread and rounded nuts it's not even funny.

Have you tried taking a little torch to it? Do that and soak it in whatever (WD, NUT ETC...) But just use the torch.

I don't think I'd want to stick a torch up next to a cylinder head.
