300rpm jump at shift?
when i sheft gears, while shifting my rpms will jump, say its 2500 and i shift to second, it goes to like 2700 or 2800 while clutch is in. just for a second, they then drop if i held the clutch in long enough, but why would it do this??? my foot is 100% off the gas.

RE: 300rpm jump at shift?
well if im driving mine , if i push the clutch in to shift it usually revs a couple hundred, but its from just letting off the gas at the same time a push the clutch. if i let the gas all the way off before i push the clutch it dont do that. lol...i hope yall understand that rubbish!

A lot of other even non ford cars and trucks do that. When you decell the IAC opens all the way so when you puch the clutch in, the engine reacts and then revs down. Same thing happens when you shift. My 94 F-150 does it, a '97 Tacoma does it between shifts, and my car...don't worry about it.
