Default Aftermarket speedometer calibration

Factory 1991 GT speedometer to a 200MPH speedometer. How do I calibrate?

Never had to mess with the speedo gear. What am I setting my self up for? Big task?

not really, just follow the speedo cable from the cluster to the tranny, its the cable on the drivers side of the tranny, pop that off and change the gear, i dont know what color you need tho.... 20 minute job... i dont know about AOD's it might be the same...

what rear end gears do you have... if you have stock gears i think you need a red gear...

look in you driver door sticker, (inside edge of the door) and look at the code for AX, you probably have 3.08 or 2.73...

My problem is the guy that put the new speedo in left the stock gear so the dam thing reads 80MPH at 65 or so.

the 200mph speedos that I've seen don't need any calibration, as long as they gave you the one for your year it should be already set up for the stock gearing and speedo gear. Call whoever you bought it from and check with them.
