5.0 needs to beat 4.6
What needed to beat a 98 Gt (auto) mods are Trans-go shift kit,3.73,Mac CAI,70mm tb,pro m 85 maf,Diablosport pred tune,bbk u/d pulley,msd coils,bbk plenium,mac o/h and flows super 40's,With a stock 89 gt 5-speed bbk shorty's and bbk o/r h...

3.73's will be his best bet, 98's arent the fastest mustangs out there, the gears will be a big help i think it will be close. if he has any money after that, a good cai will compliment the exhaust. my prediction will be that the 90' will be ahead from the start, and the 98 will slowly catch up as speeds climb. the 98 is probably a low 14 sec car.

Some upper and lower control arms, upper and lower intake manifold. Thats all he would need. If he gets the control arms off ebay which is 170 shipped and the upper and lower for about 450 shipped then he would still have 180 left and a 65mm throttle body off ebay for about 140 would be killer for the manifold. All that and he should shut this kid up.

Oh you know what scratch the upper and lower and get some 3.73, I didnt see that he didnt have those yet. Depending on if he is going to install it himself or have some one else do he may be able to buy more things. If he has them installed then thats it but if he doesnt he can squeez in a C&L Trueflow pipe with 76mm MAF and K&N filter.

definetely get gears 3:73's or 4:10's, CAI and GT40E upper and lower intake manifold he can get all of this on ebay for a good price. If not then just race his *** and see what happens, good luck.
