Default hard to get in gear

Seems like its getting harder and harder
to change gears.

Noticed today I was really having to shove hard
to get the stick all the way into gear.

Its not grinding or anything just seems to be
requiring ALOT of force to engage fully.

Am I imagining things or something about to brake?

Sounds like your tranny is crying for a rebuild, you can buy kits online all over, or you can take it into a local tranny shop and have it rebuilt. but it isnt cheap , 400 - 500 bucks.

first thing i would do is put some nice fresh fluid in it, you would be surprised how much that helps sometimes. second, do you have an adjustable clutch cable? if your clutch is starting to grab as soon as you bring the clutch pedal off the floor, it could mean its not disengaging all the way, and will cause this concern also.
