Broke down and Baught a Electric fan...

RE: Broke down and Baught a Electric fan...
Is everyone who said the fan should blow towards the motor SURE? I am afraid it should blow towards the radiator. Cooling the radiator down in a hurry, thus creating a lower temp in coolant system, cooling the car faster. Blowing air on the engine isnt going be a direct source for cooling anything inside the engine. Ask your local mechanics, let me know if I am wrong. I am repeating what I have been told by some mustang tech heads in my area. I am no mechanic. But I would like a FOR SURE answer. Thanks.

I asked 5 different sources and they all said the fan is suppose to blow towards the motor if its mounted behind the radiator like mine is in that pic.
And its supose to be pulling air threw the radiator if its in the front.

I guess that makes sense. And also, if it were blowing towards the radiator, it would just be blowing hot air at the radiator anyways. HUM. I will have to double check to make sure I understood what they are talking about. My fan clutch is bad, so I was going to do a Mark VIII conversion rather than get a new fan clutch. It is ok Everyone! I will not be doing the install, LMAO!

If the fan is in front of the radiator it should blow towards the motor.in effect blowing air through the radiator.
If it is between the the radiator and the motor it should suck air through the radiator towards the motor

I might get that Fan and mount it in the front, but theres another type of cooler in front of that. Looks like an oil cooler but I thought those were only for auto trans, anyone know what that is?

Might be for your A/C.
BTW, I have an electric fan mounted engine side of my '95 GT bolted onto the 3 coor radiator. I have to remove the fan just to change out belts. There isn't much room at all on mine.
