Default Header Leak

Does anyone have any tips on how to tighten header bolts, I have had a tick thats most likely from loose header bolts but its hard as hell trying to torque them up. I have Mac longtubes and that doesnt allow much space.
Thanks for the help.

Just a nice long extension with a torque wrench at the end.

I would take them off and put a straight edge on it to make sure that they aren't bent or anything.

I wouldnt think they'd be warped but the problem is, I have to use an open end to tighten them because a socket won't fit.

i dont think blkgt50 has ever installed a set of these bad boys, do you?? it took me about 5 hours to install mine and i swore they wouldnt come back out unless the engine did. i just kept going over mine until they quit leaking. like you said some are real tough to tighten.

Yea there tough, the thing of it is though, I cant even fit a socket on them because of the angle of the tube wont let it sit right on the bolt. I'll just have to bust more of my knuckles with the open end. lol

I have long tubes also...MAC also. Have trouble with them also. The thing is you have to keep messing with them. Tighten them, run it because the hotter they get they tend to loosen up a lot.

Try the LOCKING HEADER BOLTS....

Those are just a few sites with them. I havent had to put any on mine but if I have anymore problems with them, I WILL!!!
