RE: need help quick
Sway bars help to decrease body roll around corners. If you get rid of the sway bar your car will feel really loose around corners and you may even notice the body leaning more. Just go to Pep Boys and get the urethane bushings they sell for like $10 bucks.

ok so i went up to auto zone to buy the new bushings and when it came up on the cpu it needed to know the diameter of the bar. and there was 4 diff diameters to pick from. does anyone know what the diameter of a stock 1990 gt sway bar. if not how should i measure it. also can anyone tell me what number fuse the radio and interior lights run through. they stopped working and i think the fuse is blown. thx guys.

as far at the fuse goes, cant help you. As far as the diameter of the sway bar, just measure the circumfrence (stretch a string around it or something, then measure the length of the string), divide by pi, (3.14159) and thats your diameter.

Yea, Like ttoppedaerocoupe said, just wrap a string around it and than measure the string. The bushing is not that hard to replace at all. If you need to drive the car without the sway bar nothing will happen... it will just wont handle well.
