Default gt40 kit

I have a question, Anyone hear of a gt40 kit? I have seen the gt40 crate engines and intakes but this guy at my work keeps telling me about a gt40 kit for 5.0 mustangs. Any links or something of the matter?

The '06 Ford racing catalog shows it but if you read the 'fine print' it says that the parts have to be bought separately.......
At least you can buy 1 part at a time or something.....

in 92 or 93 ford made a very limited production scca prepped mustand, it was basically a stripped down gt, no options, no radio nothing strictly for racing, it came white with blue scca stripes on top and on sides, it came with a full gt40 motor, strut tower brace lower k member brace, frpp sway bars and springs special rims, the car was sold for over 40k went mid 13's and handled 1g on a skid pad, iv seen one of these cars ever, but you could order all the parts back then out of frpp catalog have them dealer installed and get your car "gt40" certified. it never caught on cuz sallen was just killing everyone on the scca circut so it was only done that one year.

about every aftermarket kit is cheaper and better, so id steer away from the gt-40 stuff.

the GT40 kit is a top-end kit ...go to 50resto.com and look for it. If you're going w/ a top end kit, I'd go w/ the trickflow kit instead. More power and newer technology....and a little cheaper, I think.
