Default cam and lifters

I have been hearing this noise from my car for about a week now. I had one of my friends come see what he thought and he said that it sounded like the lifters were bad. Now my question. is it possible to lifters on a cam that has over 200k on it or do I need to put in a new cam?

you can put new lifters in, but on my 88 the cam was scratched so it still made noise.

I really don't want to dig it to this motor but if I have to I will. Thanks.

Don't even worry about it, until it doesn't run don't bother fixing it, lots of cars have lifter noise.

If it's over powering the sound of your engine then you've got a bigger problem than lifters.
