I want opinions on this cuz I might get a new engine in the future if I don't rebuild the one I have.

carbed- MUCH cheaper, easier to tune, cooler (IMO), plus it always seems to be the elecrtical sh*t that fails on cars.

EFI- infinite adjustablilty, so you can get a little more power.

there was a big discussion a while back about this. many people got into fights in it, so dont be surprised if there are a few in here.

Carbs and Efi are like APPLES and ORANGES.True their both fruit but nothing alike.Thats the same with carbs and efi sure they both deliver fuel but thats where the similarities end.

Its honestly going to come down to your personal preferences. Are you on a budget?Do you prefer to do your own work? How involved do you want to get?Carbs are much easier to work with, give you ENDLESS tuning possibilities with nothing more than a screwdriver rather than a computer, and are much cheaper than even a portion of the componets that it takes to run efi.In fact the custom chip for an efi setup costs either the same or more than a performance built carb.

Theres no REAL answer to which is better. Its all up to your knowledge and experience which is better.I personally LOVE carbs and can work magic with them on my combos.I like them better but thats because i've taken a liking to them and have quite a bit of knowledge about them but the true hardcore efi guys can and will say the same.So its up to you man what can you do,what can you spend, and what prior knowledge do you have of both?

For the record carbed setups can make just as much if not more as any efi setup. The part about efi having more tuning capabilities is a load of SH*T.

I like EFI for it's infinate adjustability, smoothness, accuracy, ect.

I like carbs if you're gonna be swappin **** in and out a lot, cheaper route to go (as in: if it's a test motor for parts)

i like carbs, cheap of course-easy to tune-lots of options for trial and error(and you can afford them!) efi is good to, never really got into the performance side of efi to much though, just not economical, if you choose something to use and it doesnt work- lots of money down the drain- hard to find the right combo the first time around. both can deliver.
