Default 5 lug conversion with 2001 parts

I have a 1990 GT Convt. I wanted to do a 5 lug conversion on it. I have the entire braking system off of a 2001 GT. I've got the complete rear, the front spinldes, hubs, rotors, etc. Does any one know if I can use the parts on my 1990 to do a 5 lug conversion? Any help would be great.

yes you can, the front spindles have a different geometry

look up mike bobbits brake page (search sn95 brake upgrades) his site has everything you need to know about mustang brakes

it is close to a direct bolt on...I would look for a 1994-95 master cylinder and a SN95 booster too. I have all SN95 brakes on mine, look for 1994-95 spindles, they are closer to a fox, you WILL need a good pair of camber caster plates

If you use the 2001 Spindles, youll need a bump steer kit, to help compensate for the different tie rod end pickup point on the spindle, and your car will also be widened a bit.

Can I use the master cylinder and booster from the 2001? Do you know how much wider the car will be? I want to be able to use the 95 cobra r wheels or the 2000 cobra r or the 2003 cobra wheels. Also, does any one know if I will have to modify my emergency brake line? Thanks.

nope the 2001 axles are like reallly long compared to the foxes and even to the 94-95. i did a five lug conversion my 89 from a 95. took the whole rear end and front spindles. and brake lines. i saw a guy with a 2001 rear end in his fox body. and man oh man did it stick out. like 3 inches out the fender well in teh back. the fornt will be a good bit wider too. do you plan on lowering the car? cause if you do, you will have issues with rubbing. i pot the ford motor sports B springs on my car which dropped it like almost an inch and i i have 17x9 cobra r rims with 245/45/17 on them and they did rub so i had to roll the fender a bit.

Yes, I plan on lower the car a bit. I was thinking of getting the Ford Racing Springs. I dont want my car to stick out 3 inches on each side so I'm not sure what to do. I have all these brake parts that I apparently wont be able to use. I wanted 5 lug disk brakes on all four corners.

Thanks to everyone who helped out. I guess I'll forget about using the 2001 parts and go with either a kit or found the 94-95 parts I need. Thanks.
