i did forhet to mention that this car is a convertible as well. I just bought a good set of tires for it and immediately i noticed the difference. Excuse me tho if i don't seem that mech. inclined, my area of knowledge is car audio, but it looks like it already has a set of headers on the motor. Did they come with factory headers or an exhaust manifold?

They come factory w/ headers, but they have crimps and bends in them and are restrictive compared to aftermarket. Since you have a vert, I would look at full length subframes, a strut tower brace, and U/L control arms after you get gears. Verts are the heaviest stangs and have a lot more chassis flex since they don't have a hardtop.
