what would be the best cam to put in a carb 5.0, its an 83 and it has long tubes, o/r h pipe, and flowmaster mufflers.. i will also prob put a new carb on it, besides the exhaust it is stock. What would be the ideal carb to put on? what would be the ideal cam to put in with that ideal carb? Also if I buy a cam, will i need to get new springs, rocker arms, lifters, and pushrods?

i was running a edelbrock carb and intake on my '85 5.0 and i had the B303 cam in it and loved it. if you do put the B303 in ... expect to run 3.55 or 3.73 gears .. .it needs them. but i loved that setup personally.

is it a flat tappet cam or a roller¿ if its a tappet, i would look into a roller conversion. for a carb, a 500cfm is optimal, unless you plan on supercharging or turboing it.
