Default Is there a difference between LX and GT??

Is there a difference as far as the front fenders are concerned when it comes to an lx or a gt? I bought a front driver fender for my car, but it doesnt look like its for a gt. It looks like i would have to take those little brackets off the old one and rivet them on the new one. PITA. Couldnt i just buy one that already has the brackets in place? Also, is it possible to take the molding off the car? Or would that look like crap? Anyone got any pics without the molding on the sides? thanks

i always thought the GT and LX fender were the same .. but i could be wrong. as far as getting rid of the molding that would be impossible since it's already pre-molded into the front and rear bumpers. i mean a good custom body shop could prob. take the front and rear bumper and somehow "shave" them ... but it would cost more that it would be worth it IMO>

well what about those peices of metal that are riveted on to hold the moldings on? Do i have to take em off and rivet them on the new peice? The new fender that i have just doesnt look right, it looks like it should go on a lx and i was told it was from the same year as mine. i dk what to do.
