alrite guys.....finally started my car today after changin gaskets, 1.7's, swaped the aod to the t-5....so i timed it (set at 10*) and it pops through the exhaust.. thought it was a bad plug ..nope... checked all the plug wires, cap, rotor, no shorts...um.. compression was good in all cylinders.....

anyone know of anything else it could be.....??? cuz im stumped

hmm....is the engine running ok while doing this...like, violent misses or anything.....how long has it been sitting ?? bad gas maybe...water in the gas possibly....clogged up converter.....idk man.

You're positive the timing is set at 10ยบ?

Are you sure you routed all the wires correctly? It could cause a backfire.
