check your catalytic comverters. If they are plugged, there will be too much back pressure causing the engine to die when you give it gas. Same thing happened to my dad with his 88gt, but he was on the highway.

^^^^^ could be that, have you changed the fuel filter? if its clogged it will do that too at start up

the 19lb injectors are more yellowish than orange, his are like a deep orange
