Default Got a stang

Well. I got a stang..94 GT, there is one problem with it though. When you start the car you have to let it sit for a little while otherwise if you try to go or even touch the gas in neutral it just dies. Then when restarted. It starts but dies again. What could be the problem. After it sits. It runs great. The car has Trickflow intake, 75mm Throttle body, High flow injectors. Trickflow plugs. I was thinking that the fuel pump is tired and not working to its potential?

is it a manual or AOD?

when u start the car it idles good right?

i'd see how long it can hold an idle and go from there

maybe engine isnt getting gas or too much gas? i'd call up the previous owner and ask him if he messed with the A/F ratio or changed/upgraded the fuel injectors

alot of people buy 24# injectors which are too big for a stock 5.0 (non cobra)

i think a switch or sensor, do you have a check engine light? if its not lit, make shure there is a bulb, and if there is its pluged in! if the lights on you can bring your car to advance auto parts for a free diagnosis...

ORIGINAL: Tims 88GT

neutral safty switch?
Those are only on automatics, Tim. And if it were an auto, all the Neutral Switch does is if the vehicle isn't in park or neutral, it won't let you start the car. Same idea as the clutch switch, if the clutch isn't pushed, you can't start the car.

"High flow fuel injectors" what is high flow? is you MAF calibrated for the injectors? Since you didn't list any MAF mods, I'm assuming you only have the stock MAF, which could be your problem.
