Default Tac question

yesterday i went to hook up my ford racing 5"tac and the freaking thing does not work, it is wired right and everything. what could be wrong?

you hooked/spliced into your tach wire right?...then check your ground,and is yours 3 wire hook up?

ok red is to 12 volt sorce, black is to ground, white is to head light switch, green is to coil, missing anything?

the coil wire has to be touching the tach wire i think?..

the coil wire to dizzy wire? no i dont think that is right. but get this, the light in the tach works, but the tach its self does not, i can not set the shift light or anything.

ok you did put in the groung side of the tach right?...it has plus or minus on the plug in.
