I have 4 modules that all work on my 72 Bronco w/EFI and nothing works with the stang. Last weekend I found the EEC ground off the battery was loose and I think that may have screwed up the computer. I tried the working dist. in the bronco on the stang

also u said u had a ground wire off????????? did u check the tps when the ground wire was off?? if so thats where you got the 5v from. Make sure all the grounds are good. a bad computer and a bad ground will give the same reading.

I assume yer looking for spark off the coil wire and not a plug wire. Otherwise, could be cap and rotor bad. Remove the neg wire from your coil. With key on and 12V at the pos side of the coil. Tap on the coil neg with a grounded lead. If you still get no spark from the coil wire it's the coil.

If the ground wire was found 'hangin' you probably fried something (electrical spikes/surges will fry electronic equipment). ignition module, EEC, or stator assembly. You may have to replace each one until you find the problem. If you get fuel pressure then the ignition switch is take out of the loop because that also powers the fuel pump.
