Well, on these forums, the general consensus is 4.10's, and sometimes 3.73's in sticks. On another forum i belong too, its 3.55 and to get a little bit more, 3.73's. There is a lot of bandwagoning when it comes to gears, and I have even read a couple of people here that say no less than 4.10's... but dont even have them in their car. - they are the same one asking next week which gear with these mods..... Best thing to do is use the gear calculator, decide which one you like based on rpms vs speed. In the end, its your car and your buying them. I myself dont want high highway rpms, i went with 3.73's. And yes i know, its only 225 rpms higher, but Im going from a cool 1500 rpms at 65 to 2200 and that is a big enough jump for me. I also want a cruiser car.

Good luck with your decisions guys....

From what people say here, your gas mileage wont change from 2.73 to 4.10's. So what gas mileage have to do with it....

Because that why MOST people dont get the bigger gears becuase they think gas is going to stream out like a water hose.... you gas will change from 2.73's to 4.10's but not as drastic as people think.. I was just making a comment.

yes, that IS true.... i just dont like the idea of my engine turning roughly 2800 prms while im in 5th cruising down the highway. or the fact that i would be bouncing off the rev limiter in 4th gear while trying to make a pass down the 1/4 mile

^^ Than thats a very reasonable explanation for not having 4.10's. There are excuses and there are reasonable explanations. Gas is an excuse.

personally im going with 3.55s because im planning for my future mods. Im going to be running a built 351w with a vortech v2 sq s-trim. so with all that power, too high of a gear will just make the car had to drive. but if i stick with a low gear like 3.55s and get a taller 5th gear installed... like a .62 or even the g-force .59. i can turn my car into a total highway queen and challenge the local TT Supra.... we all know how THOSE run on the highway

^^ Thats crazy because I was next to a white TT supra yesterday. I was in my Intrepid and I flored it and he just cruised by me w/ minimal effort... he looked over and just laughed lol
