Did it misfire before the plug change? Check the firing order. Maybe you crossed 2 wires.
What would happen if you crossed two wires, Pro50?
It would create a misfire.

No, i was told i didnt have to gap these plugs.
let me guess... the parts store guys talked you into buying "Super Duper Quadro-triple Platinum"

never use anything other than copper or resistor style plugs.... everything else is GARBAGE.

unless you are running a VERY high HP or high tune machine.... then iridiums are very helpful. but at $7-$13 a piece..... it gets pricey

i run Autolite Resistor plugs.... i had a misfire with my platinums that the old owner had installed. the coppers made it go away.

and gap slightly smaller then recommended. my stock gap is .54 i gapped to .48

Hmmmm, that's odd. Aren't autolites made by Motorcraft, or visa versa?

Yes, they were autolite platinum. And when i was taking the orginal spark plugs out, guess what they were? Yup, autolite platinum. It had just a tiny tiny misfire with the orginal autolite platinums. Put the new AL platinums in, got worse. Put the motorcrafts in, problem solved

The dropped plug.....when you drop them once...drop them twice, second time in the garbage. You run a high risk of the ceramic cracking inside the plug when they are dropped. I never take the chance, can show up immediately or just a little later.
