pretty bad. imagine pulling a plug wire. thats what it feels like. i am not leaking any oil. im burning it. all i did was take the valve cover of, put a new gasket on, and put everything back together. then i reset the base idle but i dont think that has anything to do with it.

Did you mess with the valve train at all. Maybe just push down on a rocker or push a valve spring. Only thing I can think of is you messed up a valve guide some howw and now oil is dripping down into the combustion chamber.

Also your pcv could be sucking up oil. Did you take out the screen underneth it and forget to put it back in.

i had this problem a while back. pulled out a plug and it was covered in burnt oil. bad rings and bad valve guides could be the cause. pull yourplugs out and check em out. replace the bad ones. next time you do an oil change run a quart of Lucas with your other 4 quarts of oil.

I use Cork and haven't had any problems with leaks on my VC's. I thought the proper torque was 8 ft/lb, but 10 isn't going to hurt anything. Also you just have to start on the inside and work your way out to the outer bolts. As far as the miss goes, you could've fouled out a plug. I'd replace the plugs and see if it happens again.
