i have always stood by k&n, great quality and the plastic inlet tube doesnt heat soak like the metal ones. i bought my 91lx with a bbk on it and the fit is absolutely horrible and the couplings are starting to crack

Actually I have the BBK one also, and I wasn't that thrilled with the way it fit either. I had to make a rubber cushion for the part that is touching my shock tower. If I had to do it again I would go with another CAI or try to replace my stock box that's all broken. Just my .02$

Well, I had a BBK Fenderwell for a few years and I had no problems with it... it actually fit VERY well and looked great also. I have no complaints about BBK and would recommend them in a heart beat.

you get about the same HP on a FOX using a K&N panel filter with the scilencer removed.

That's what I've always heard. No sense in buying a new 'flashy' intake tube. Stock does the same thing.

when I went to SEMA in 1999, I asked the K&N rep when they were going to make a FIP kit for a FOX like they had for other cars...The K&N rep said that they could not improve the stock inlet tube, so it was pointless

Well.... some people like the "flashy" intakes. Including myself.

i agree, the flashy polished ones look much cooler! Is it possible to buy just the intake tubes from one company and use the K&N filter/adapter on it? I think that would give you the best of both worlds, power, fit, AND looks.
