My blue top shipped out this week from The Pddaock, it was 300 for the top and the window. I'm going to try to replace it meyself. I'll let everyone know what a tooth pulling it was when I'm done.

Ya please post up how it goes. Would rather find out from others how bad it sucks. So you got a complete top with window for $300? Do you have a link?

But i've got the urge to start drag racing on the weekends a little. I've been lurking here for a little while trying to figure out if a 5.0 is the way to go or not and i've decided to trade off my truck to get one. Wont' be a DD so not to bad.
If you're lookin' for some weekend drag racing, then a 5.0 CONVERTIBLE is HORRIBLE!!! [:@] Why would you want to waste your money, especially when it sounds like money is tight??? [:-] The convertibles ARE heavier, and OBVIOUSLY significantly less safe for the track. Tracks have special rules for convertibles, like having a roll bar and such (check out their rules first!). If you're worried about $500 for a top, then the other mods will bankrupt you. []

BTW - I can spill about these heavy monsters 'cause I have one in my garage (and paid $500 to have my top replaced by a shop)...

I was planning on going with the convertible because of it's availability of it. If i get it i'm trading my current toyota truck for it. It comes with a 80 shot of nitrous not installed, a monster tach, as well as headers and exhaust. I may just keep trying to sell the truck and buy a GT hatch (my favorite body) instead.

Thanks Aaron

Nothing beats it. Nothing. Cars are like women, they're alot more fun when their tops are off.
