Wheels, tires, and backspacing...

Ok, I'm ready to do my rear end which includes3.73 gears, a Detroit locker turning Superior axles with Moser C-clip eliminators. I'm going to 5-lug and keeping drums for now. My first question is stock drums on my 93 coupe 9 in? Also, I'm probably gonna go with Weld ProStars for my rims. How much backspacing, how wide a rim, how tall of rim and tire can I run if I get rid of quad shocks? Which leads me to me next question... Can I get rid of quad shocks, and how will it affect the car? I want no rubbing, and I don't want to roll the fender lips. If you guys could help me out I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

RE: Wheels, tires, and backspacing...

I don't know about the drum size. On the welds, what kind of tire are you wanting to run...slick, DOT slick, street, etc?? Quad shocks...2 options. Some people flip them so they have more clearance, but I would get rid of them and just get you a good set of U/L rear control arms and you won't need them. They were only there to compensate for the weak stock U/L control arms in controlling wheel hop and traction.
