door molding removal?

door molding removal?
on the doors on a gt or lx i dont think it makes a differance. but how does the molding come off? i remember my 88 just pulled off. is my 92 going to be the same way? and what do i need to stick it back on after i paint the doors?

yea I know Its carboard, there are little black plastic push button thats holds the dorr molding to the door. you can just pull it off, but you could break you cardboard , the tool is a little pry too that pushes right on the black plastic push in things . you have to take off the 2 srews in the arms rest, then 1 in the door handle, then the 1 srew at the top of the arm rest, and then1 more at the end of the armrest...but yea I pulled mine off to re grease the window sliders and door lock actuators. my cardborad was somewhat broken up anyway. you can resue the black push pin thinggys, but they are cheap to buy they sell them at a suto parts store its like 2 bucks for like 10 of em. its safe insurance to keep the panel on good.

NO dot pay somone to do it, it is seriously easy, you can do it in 5 min, the door pops out then up to clear you door lock piece that sticks up.. Oh an 1 more screw that take off the black plastic thin that covers the mirror ..its really easy, shoot a body place you charge you like 100 buck for a job that take 5 min...seriously dont take it to a body shop, if you have any questions PM me, I have take apart my interior several time, I know what im doing and how to do it, I also have the original factory sho man, thas like 2000 pgs lol, it the real shop man that you have to get from ford. it has everything, its what ford tech use to do repairs at the ford dealers and such.
