HP drop in 1993 5.0's

I know that 5.0's before 1993 had 225HP(Motor) But in 93 they dropped it to 205 on all 93's. Is there and advantage from having a pre-93 5.0. Are there any mechanical differences besides the pistons?

there was no real drop in the power, Ford change the way they rated the output so the hp went down

Primetime is right...Ford decided they wanted to rate it by wheel hp, which still had some fluff in it since most fox's dyno ~180-190rwhp stock. And the pistons went from forged to Hypereutectic (sp?).

I dont think it was that they starting rating by wheel hp. I remember reading something about it but I think it was in the actual dyno. Dont quote me.
