Hi, i just bought a 93 5.0 is it true the pistons arent forged? and is there really a power difference? Will I not be able to supercharge it with the current pistons?

I could see that. Just swap a pulley, but if you do that you risk to blow your motor, buts its only a pulley for 30 more hp, HMMM pulley or blown motor and 30hp. haha. The power difference is because the way they rated the motor.

fellow 93'er here and believe me there is no power difference

ford just changed from flywheel ratings to rear-wheel ratings.

a real 87-93 5.0 puts down 205hp rearwheel and 225hp flywheel.

forged pistons are tougher but weigh more. the hypers are lighter and are more efficiently designed.
