Flowmasters do not need to "break in". It is because of the cats... and its not because of the long tubes... I have never heard of long tubes not being as loud as shorties?
I'll def call bs on that one. Same guy, same set up on another identical car but w/ shorties, was loud as shyt! Only dif, was the headers.

To a point, all mufflers will change w/ age.

Well, if that is true that might be why my MAC LT's > MAC Pro-Chamber > American Thunder Flows wasnt really that loud... it could of been ALOT louder IMO.

I'm not saying the cats aren't a contributing factor b/c they are. All I'm saying is I have heard 2 identical cars, same exhaust set up except for the headers, and the one w/ the l/t's being quieter. I was very surprised as well when I heard the diff between them.
