just replaced my power steering pump in my 89 mustang gt.... i replaced it be cause when i bought the car it made a small humming noise when u turnt the wheel... now when i replaced the pump it continued to make this noise.. recently it gotten louder and the whole wheel shakes when u turn it.... i drove it around for a a while while the bad power steering pump was in... any idea as to what may be wrong.....?

could be the rack is going belly up. I've got about 120,000 on my 5.0 and never had a problem, but I had to replace the rack on my wife's vet, same problem you're having.
