Hey all i own a 1970 302 fastback and a 91 740 volvo 4 door turbo. I have heard of people dropping a ford 5.0 into a volvo and not really needing to do much to the tranny? Is this true? Sounds tempting. Any one ever done this. Thanks a lot!

OK WHOA. Whats wrong with a volvo? I know this is a mustang fourm but it involved a ford question. The older volvos are great and run forever. Why should i get slapped? Because i might smoke you with a 5.0 in a volvo? Come on man i jsut was looking for answers, not a 14 year old.

actually i dont really care if you smoked me with your volvo. all im saying is why waste time and money on a volvo? its just stupid in my opinion.

its an idea, come on guys dont bash eachother thats stupid. its a differant idea its been done but not many times, i would put a 5.0 in a older ranger first thats kool i like them.
