Default Explorer Intake?

Will the upper and lower intake from a 98 mercury mountaineer bolt directly up to my
92' Lx 5.0? Also will the throttle body and egr plate work form my car?
Thanks guys

yes and yes. The only difference is that your EGR stuff won't work w/ it (i don't think) and the lower is missing the bung for the Air Charge Temp sensor.

i've seen other "explorer" intakes listed with " 5th runner drilled and tapped for air temp sensor " listed on ebay before.

sound like the fix you need.

the EGR spacer can be blocked off, but you need it for everything to bolt up right. The 97.5+ Explorers/Mountaineers moved the ACT sensor between the MAF and TB, but if the bung is still there, you can just drill and tap it. The bits would be less than $5 at Home Depot. If it's not there....well just read this....scroll down to the part about installing the Exploder intake....
