Default Typhoon power plus intake any good?

Does anyone know of the Typhoon intake manufactured by Power Plus? They claim it's similar to the Edelbrock Performer RPM but for only $275.

Ive heard people claim they have no problems and I have heard some say its a piece of crap... If your wanting to stay in the $300 range get a cobra its a good lil intake they will be good up to about 350 HP. If you dont mind spending $500 get another one like the trickflow or edelbrock. Remember if something cost less its usually because it cost less to manufacture so ....... it prob hasnt had alot of detail put into it.

The intakes from Professional Products are actually copies of Edelbrock intakes both carbed and EFI intakes. The finish inside the intake isn't as nice as the Edelbrocks though.

i heard that sometimes you need to port the holes on the intake because they are a little off so some modification needs to be done. i also heard that they are perfectly fine and are bang for the buck. i just decided to go with trickflow instead

+1
I read an article comparing the performer rpm to the typhoon, and after they ported the typhoon intake to mach the gasket, it flowed almost better than the edlebrok.

I have one, no problems. Yes, the casting is a bit rough but that is easilly fixed. Worth the price difference IMO.
