Default Might run 1/8th tomorrow

If its nice, im going to go run the 1/8th tomorrow. Does anyone have any pionters for me? This will be my frist time racing at the track. I ill be using street tires[:@] I want to see how much improvment slicks will make over my streets. So im going to run tomorrow to get a base run. What control arm's is everyone using, or what ones are the best ones I can get?

Slicks will make about .4-.5 second difference as long as you are not afraid to launch, and you heat them up real good. Be sure to leave on the last yellow. If you wait til green, you will be way behind. On street tires, I don't recommend using the water box. Do a quick burnout to clear all of the rocks off of the tires, but heating them up a lot will not make much difference.

Heat those street tires up enough to make em smoke a little, once you see smoke let off. Launch is VERY critical in the 1/8th.

Depending on the street radial tires you're using on the rear, they might "stick" better with a higher pressure.... 38-45 psi. It takes some tryouts though. GL at the track.

DO NOT heat up street tires, just spin 'em to clean 'em off
and just ease it off the line, theres no since in trying to launching on street tires its pointless

Do not increase the pressue of the tire. It will make it harder and easier to spin. Most likely you will have no luck w/ street tires so it will mostly be trial and error. When I went from street tires to drag radials, it took a full second off my e/t.
