1993 5.0 LX Hatch: Are the side mouldings supposed to be painted?

My white 93 hatch doesnt have the side mouldings, When I do decide to get some and put them on, are they all black no matter the car color, or are they supposed to be painted to match the car?

you can paint them or leave them back that is up to u

factory.... they are all black....but alot of guys paint them, and hell... some guys don't even put them back on, and drive them that way.... it's all up to you
