what gears do i have?

sorry for the dumb qquestion but is there an easy way of find out what gears my mustang has, i dont know much of what the previousowner did to it, so how can i check what gears do i have?

But the rear axle letter on your tag and post it on here and me or someone else can let you know what you've got.

Jack the rear up, mark the driveshaft. See how many revolutions the tire goes around to one driveshaft revolution.

Just mark the driveshaft and rotate it one time while counting the number or rotations the wheels make. You will get your answer and it will be accurate if the gears were ever changed.
