Default RE: question

I believe 84 had Flat top pistons, and heads I believe but I cant be too sure. But as far as waterpumps and headers, and valve covers those such things are the same, its when you start messing with the internal part of the engine that makes a difference. If that makes any sense.

Default RE: question

yea i understand what your sayin, well in that case... having an 84 can i swap over to the newer style heads that come on the 86-93's? i mean the block pattern for the heads would be the same right? i guess the only issue their would be would the vavles hit the pistons or no? im new to the mustangs so not sure if mayb the l8r style 302's had notchs in the pistons or what?

beacuse i plan to finish up my efi conversion i got wiring harness and ecu and 02 sensor .... i just gotta get l8r heads and few other things for the conversion and i just wanna kno if the heads on an 84 will bolt up to a l8r intake manifold.. or would i have to change heads and if i have to change heads will newer heads bolt up to the block .... srry if this sounds wierd im really tired though
