Default 3.55 or 3.73

I have a 90 GT automatic. I am either going with the 3.55 or 3.73 gears . My car is a not a daily driver and it will be driven both around town and on the highway. I do not race it. I am either going with the Motive or Ford racing gears. I was told the Motives are quieter than the Ford Racing. Any thoughts on which gears. Thanks!

I would also go w/ 4.10's. and ford motorsport gears too. Never had any problems with them. Can't go wrong w/ oe parts.

I know you guys would say 4.10 but I am gonna stick with 3.55 or 3.73. I am kind of leaning to 3.73. Has anyone used the Motive gears in their car?

check your data plate on the drivers door. you might have 3.27 already , and 1 set jump is not even noticable.

under "ax code"
m=2.73
z=3.08
e=3.27

not less than 3.73 no matter what, and i had 2 aod cars w/ 3.73 and think they still suck. won't go faster than 14's for sure.
i like 4.10's even in my 5-speeds. but your gonna do what you think is right...try to ride in an aod car w/ 3.73's first and see if you like it.

you hate to change later...and keep in mind, a aod w/ 3.73 is like a 5-speed w/ 3.08's ( ratio-wise...total 1st gear) it's actually a bit less.
