ORIGINAL: 5speed GT

not to jump in the mess here, but 5.0 mag did an intake test on a 302 with the regular bolt ons. the gt40 had the best torque curve and did lack a little top end hp(around 6hp) and the others(edlbrock, TFS, holley) all were within a hp or two of each other. BBK's ssi made the most hp(at like 6500rpms) but totally lacked bottom end. So I would have to agree that the gt40 is the perfect all around intake for a stock(ish) 302... now a couple months later they did the same test on a stroked engine... gt40 no good there
I read that test, and I belive that it included the Trick Flow Street.. which is not as good as the GT40. The Track, however, does flow better. In its price range, the GT40 is the best one, but all I'm saying is there are better intakes, such as the Track Heat.

Good discussion guys, I'm still pro GT40, I think it adds a little more prestige to the car as Ford did come up with the GT40. Look at all the auctions (Baratt Jackson) when you have an original specific part for your vehicle like the GT40, it will add signifigant value.......down the road.

Every time I open the hood and show someone the GT40, they seem to dig on it. Its quite fancy lookin.
